Yes there is another line coming out at MAC next month. I don't know - they seem to love to put things out so fast that you can't really think about whether you need it or not. You just buy. This must be their system - I don't know what genius (or evil genius?) thought this method up, but I have to say this collection is looking pretty dang good. Ok, this post is a long time coming - I have been putting it off for too long. But let me just say....Wow Style Warriors is totally catching my eye! I am LOVING this stuff! On the last post I did about this I said, ok I hope they get the animal print packaging right so it looks more CoCo Chanel and less Trailer Park mama with Virginia Slim.

Sugar and spice and everything nice—MAC is delivering once again with its new collection titled Sugar Sweet. The collection is set to release on March 19, 2009. This collection is sweet for a few different reasons.

First of all, the collection has shadesticks! If you’ve never had the chance to use a MAC shadestick, you are going to want to try one now. A shadestick is a smooth a rich eye shadow in the sleek format of a stick. It brings a whole new dimension to eye shadow application. I love the shadestick and I can’t wait to try the Red Velvet color.

The collection line also includes regular eye shadow, lipstick, tricolor lipglass, mascara, nail polish, mineralize skinfinish, and false eyelashes. It really is a pretty complete collection of everything you would need to create a finished look. I think one of the most intriguing things in the collection is the tricolor lipglass.

This lipglass isn’t just one tone, it includes three different colors. My first thought was that three colors might be too much, but then I thought of how many times MAC has presented something that didn’t look fantastic; it is definitely a rare occasion. I will wait until it comes out to make a final decision, but for now, I will continue to be intrigued. Everything that is rumored to be in the collection is listed below. Freida Pinto is The New Look For Estee Lauder

Freida Pinto is everywhere you look! She was in the front-row at Dolce & Gabbana and is being wholeheartedly embraced by the fashion world, the movie industry, and now they say even the ever so picky Woody Allen. Pinto continued her winning style streak at the Dolce & Gabbana show in an embellished minidress from the designers. The Slumdog Millionaire star chose a runway look from the Spring 2009 collection.

Freida Pinto's Oscar Hair Updo - Do It Yourself

Celebrity stylist, Jeffrey Paul, created a fresh and elegant red carpet hair look for Frieda Pinto. Radiant in John Galliano, Pinto’s hair is divided into three parts and twisted back into an architectural, couture flower shape on the right side of the head. “This look has a beautiful architecture; hair is twisted back into a youthful, feminine flower shape that complements Frieda’s face shape and stunning Galliano gown.” Here’s how to get Pinto’s look:

Start with Aveda Pure Abundance Volumizing Shampoo and Aveda Pure Abundance Volumizing Clay Conditioner.

Mix a cocktail of Aveda Phomollient Styling Foam and Aveda Light Elements Defining Whip. Work the product into wet hair to add texture and volume. “When creating an updo, it’s important to use products that give thickness and body,” said Paul. “Pinto’s hair already has a lot of shine. The cocktail of Aveda Phomollient Styling Foam and Aveda Light Elements Defining Whip provided just the right amount of hold, body and texture without weighing hair down.”

--Blow dry hair back to add lift and height at the roots.

--Create a left side part and divide hair into three sections: three quarters of hair in one section on the right and the remaining hair into two smaller sections.

--Pull the right section of hair back into a low ponytail just behind the right ear above the nape of the neck.

--Twist the ponytail, working Aveda Light Elements Defining Whip into hair. Wrap the ponytail around the base, creating a flower shape. Secure in place with pins.

--Work Aveda Light Elements Defining Whip into each of the remaining sections and twist back and around the flower shape, creating a layered, rose-like effect. “The three twists flow together for beautiful movement,” said Paul.

--Finish the look with Aveda Air Control Hair Spray.

--Lastly, shake the head a bit to loosen up the look and provide a sense of natural movement.

--VOILA!
